I have been lucky enough to shadow the specialist clinic which used toxin to help relax muscle spasticity in stroke patients. I’ve been doing some reflecting with the things I’ve learnt: 1. The affect of toxin is insane & can massively affect quality of life. Aesthetic medicine is the tip of a very large iceberg 2. Needle placement / depth is everything which means errror margins can sometimes be super duper small 3. Anatomy is (as always) key 4. As with everything in medicine, most good things come with risks. Losing muscle function comes with multiple caveats 5. Rediscovering my old medical student talents of standing in a corner all day & staying out of the way 😂 #skincare
